Home Organization Prompts
Space & Decluttering
"Audit every room in my home and give me a room-by-room decluttering priority list, starting with the highest-impact spaces. Include a 30-day completion timeline."
"I have [X square feet] and [X people] living here. Design a zone-based organization system where every item has a fixed home and nothing lives on a surface permanently."
"Create a seasonal rotation schedule for clothing, décor, and gear so my storage stays functional year-round without accumulating clutter."
"Build me a one-hour weekly reset routine that keeps the entire house maintained without a full Saturday cleaning session."
"I'm moving in [X weeks]. Give me a room-by-room packing sequence, a labeling system, and a 'last out, first in' box strategy."
Storage & Systems
"Design a kitchen organization system based on frequency of use - daily, weekly, rarely - so I stop digging for things."
"My pantry is chaos. Give me a category-based layout, a labeling protocol, and a FIFO (first in, first out) restocking system."
"Create a paper management system for my household: incoming mail, bills, school documents, warranties, and tax records - physical and digital."
"Build a digital filing structure for all household documents I can replicate in Google Drive or Dropbox. Include folder names and subfolder logic."
"Design a garage or storage unit layout using zones: tools, sports, seasonal, donations/sell. Include a labeled bin system."
Household Collaboration Prompts
Chores & Responsibilities
"We have [X adults / X kids aged Y]. Create a fair chore distribution system with weekly and daily tasks, assigned by capability, with a simple accountability tracker."
"Build a rotating chore chart for a family of [X] that prevents the same person from always doing the least desirable tasks."
"Write a household responsibilities agreement for two adults sharing a home - covering cleaning, groceries, bills, repairs, and common area standards."
"My kids [ages X, Y, Z] resist doing chores. Give me an age-appropriate task list and a motivation system that doesn't rely solely on punishment or cash."
"Create a monthly household maintenance checklist covering HVAC filters, smoke detectors, appliances, plumbing, and exterior - with owner assigned and estimated time."
Communication & Planning
"Design a weekly household huddle agenda (15 minutes max) covering schedules, groceries, upcoming tasks, and any conflict items - so we stay coordinated without nagging."
"Build a shared household calendar framework: which categories go in (school, bills, appointments, maintenance), color coding, and who owns each entry."
"Create a master grocery and household supplies list organized by store section so any household member can shop without texting for clarification."
"We keep dropping the ball on household handoffs (who picks up the kids, who ordered dinner, who called the plumber). Design a communication protocol and a shared task handoff system."
"Write a house rules document for a shared living situation covering guests, noise, cleaning standards, shared expenses, and conflict resolution - professional and enforceable."
Financial & Logistics
"Break down our monthly household expenses into fixed, variable, and discretionary categories. Flag where we likely overspend and give me a reallocation framework."
"Build a household bill payment calendar with due dates, auto-pay flags, and a monthly review trigger so we never pay a late fee."
"Create a home maintenance savings plan. Based on a home valued at [$X], how much should we set aside monthly for repairs, replacements, and emergencies?"
"Design an emergency preparedness checklist for our household: 72-hour kit, document copies, emergency contacts, utility shutoffs, and communication plan."
"We're planning a major home project (renovation, landscaping, new appliance). Build a decision framework: budget range, vendor vetting criteria, timeline milestones, and a red-flag list for contractor proposals."
Using Mifa is as simple as 1, 2, 3 (and for fun, 4)!

Open the AI App of your choice. Just click on the link for Claude, ChatGPT, CCIntelliCore, Grok or whichever AI tool is your preferance.

Pick the Prompt (or set of instructions) you would like the AI to use and copy it. Then paste it into the box on the AI app and press ENTER. Make sure to change the information in the brackets to match the information you are looking for.

Read the result and make sure it make sense. We as humans make mistakes and so can AI. (AI told us to cook a roast at 7000 degrees once. If we hadn't reread the results dinner would have been toast or more likely charcoal!)

Get personal or more importantly specific! If you don't like your result, ask it to try again or tell it exactly what you don't like and what you need to fix. While these prompts are meant to simplify the use of AI and save time, there are times you will need to help it a bit to get the answer you are ultimately looking for. Think of it like a really friendly neighbor who has a world of experience. If you only tell them the bare minimum, they may not give you the answer you need or want. Talk to it like you a talking to another person. Don't try to be prim and proper. (And always say,"Please" and "Thank you!" That's just good manners. ;-))
